Waiting

Today I am 41 weeks pregnant, officially a week past my 'due date'. My first child was born 2 weeks 'late' so this isn't a surprise, but I feel like I've been waiting a while. It has certainly given me ample time to have everything ready. Today I took some pictures of her finished nursery to share with you.

Initially I was planning a simple yellow/grey color scheme, but in the end I decided to add extra pops of color with poppy red and lime green. The crib bedding is from Glenna Jean.

I've already clocked MANY hours in this glider with my son, but seeing it here in this room now dressed up makes me look forward to spending many more hours here soon. Behind it are the curtain panels I made for the room.

The changing table is ready and prepped with cloth diapers, some new and some handed down from my now potty trained toddler. The cloth wipes were one of my first projects when I learned to sew during my first pregnancy,

Since my mother will be staying with us when baby first arrives, we decided to keep our guest bed in this room for a while. The painting is by Kelly Rae Roberts.

So that's the tour, everything's here except for the baby. She'll be joining us soon!

  1. Your nursery is beautiful, Vanesa! Now to just get the sweet little girl here so she can enjoy it. You seem to have a lot more patience waiting than I do! Good luck!
