Doing Good

Happy 4th of July! In the past few days I've been furiously sewing at night trying to knock down my "to-do" list. I'm now 37 weeks pregnant and before I can get to all the things I want to sew for baby I had to get 3 bee blocks and 2 swap gifts off my cutting table.

I've been part of a charity quilting bee, Do. Good Stitches since November last year, coincidentally the same time when I became pregnant. Each month the women in my sewing circle each contribute a quilt block or two to create a beautiful quilt for a homeless child donated through Project Night Night.

I've had such a wonderful time being a part of this quilting bee and seeing the beautiful quilts I've contributed to. I am going to be stepping down from the bee for a while when baby first arrives, and as I'm sending out my last blocks I wanted to look back to see all that I've done with Do. Good Stitches in the past 9 months. Below you'll find all my blocks and the finished quilts of the Dream Circle of Do. Good Stitches. You can click on any of the finished quilts to follow a link to our flickr photostream.

  1. What a fun blog you put together here. I love all the photos, especially the ones with the everyone's blocks put together. The diversity makes such neat quilts. Take care - that little one will be here before you know it!
