Giveaway Day!

Hi there! I want to spread the word about Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day! This is a great way to discover new blogs and have a chance to win some prizes. I encourage you to hop over to see what giveaways are going on all week!

If you are visiting my blog for the first time, here's a little about me: I live in Southern California, I just celebrated my 3rd wedding anniversary, I am a working mom to a 2 year old boy and a soon-to-be-mom to a baby girl. I love to sew and quilt and I started this blog about a year ago to share my projects and inspirations.

And now for my giveaway...

I've been a member of the Los Angeles Modern Quilt Guild for almost a year now and it's been such a pleasure knowing Alissa Haight Carlton through the guild. We're currently both pregnant (along with several other LAMQG members), with our babies due only a couple of weeks apart. When we went on our LAMQG retreat this past winter, I had a chance to see her advance copy of Modern Minimal and all  the wonderful quilt patterns and I couldn't wait to get my own copy! I'm currently planning a baby quilt based on one of the quilts in this book!

I'm giving away one copy of Modern Minimal to a lucky entrant. To enter, simply leave a comment in below sharing with me the pattern or tutorial you used for your last sewing project. For a second entry, leave a second comment if you are a follower of my blog! I will leave entries open until Friday, May 25 at 5 p.m. PST. International entries welcome. Good luck!

  148. I don't usually use a pattern when I do sewing projects. I kind of make them up as I go or draw something then figure out how to make it. So the last one I did with a pattern was a McCall's girls shirt/dress M4756 for my niece. Man, attaching those tiny little sleeves is killer.

  173. I am using the quilt-as-you-go tutorial by Penny at sewtakeahike. There are 35 blocks I need to make and have 25 done. It's a different kind of technique, because the back isn't included with the block assembly, so there's no need to cover up the joinings with extra fabric strips. I really love the way it is turning out!
